17 July 2018: 10×10 hosted a salon with Daniel Shea and Nick Sethi at Daniel Shea’s studio.
Daniel Shea is an artist based in New York City. He has been a resident artist at Light Work, Syracuse, and Columbia College Chicago. A new book of photographs, 43-35 10th Street, has been published by Kodoji Press this summer. His second book, Blisner, IL, was published in London in 2014. He has exhibited internationally including the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago and Vava Gallery, Milan. His commissioned work has appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Le Monde and Fantastic Man.
Nick Sethi an artist living in NYC and working in a variety of mediums. His work focuses on the ever-changing meanings and relationships of ideas, images, people and materials over time as they move through both physical and digital space. Nick’s recently released book, Khichdi (Kitchari), published by Dashwood Books, chronicles 10 years of his photography in India, exploring a decade of changes in the country, as well as himself. He has produced forty-five publications and recently collaborated with Hood By Air and Helmut Lang, and was featured in Aperture Magazine’s Future Gender Issue.
